Dr. Joyce Wade-Hamme

Pulmonologist

Dr. Joyce Wade-Hamme was born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed her residency and fellowship at The Ohio State University. With over 20 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Wade is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, sleep medicine, and wound care.

In 2015, she established Tri-County Pulmonary and Sleep Clinic where she serves individual needs of her patients. Dr. Wade is married with four daughters and enjoys playing piano, doing yardwork, and watching court shows in her spare time. A devoted Christian, she works in the spirit of putting the needs of others above her own.

Shannon Flood

Nurse Practitioner (RN, MSN, FNP-C)

Shannon Flood was born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She earned her Bachelor of Science at the University for Women in Columbus, MS and her Master of Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She has one year of experience and is nationally certified as an FNP (family nurse practitioner) with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a parent to an 11-year-old son and enjoys traveling, taking on new adventures, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Gullette-Torres

Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C)

Ashley Gullette-Torres is from Pearl, Mississippi and holds two bachelor’s degrees—one in interdisciplinary studies from Mississippi State University and the other in nursing from Mississippi University for Women. She later earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she graduated with honors. Ashley is a family nurse practitioner certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to having 12 years of inpatient nursing experience, Ashley is part of the Sigma Tau Theta Nursing Honors Society and a Daisy Award nominee. Outside of her career, Ashley is a wife and mother to two children. Her hobbies include attending her children’s many sporting events, traveling with her family, enjoying live music with her husband, and running.

Laila Jamila

Physician Assistant (BLS, ACLS, PALS)

Laila Jamila is from Madison, Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science in biology with minors in Spanish and VESO (Vocation, Ethics, and Society) from Millsaps College. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). As a recent graduate, Laila is excited to begin her career as a physician assistant at Tri-County Pulmonary and Sleep Clinic. In her free time, Laila enjoys exercising, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her most recent trip was to Saudi Arabia, which she describes as an unforgettable experience!

Chesley Alias

Nurse Practitioner (RN, BLS, ACLS)

Chesley Alias was born and raised in Bentonia, Mississippi. She began her nursing education at Hinds Community College, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and later obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women.

With 27 years of experience as a registered nurse, Chesley's background includes emergency medicine, medical-surgical nursing, school nursing, and acute hemodialysis. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and maintains certifications through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as ACLS and BLS certifications.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Chesley is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and building meaningful relationships that support each patient's health and well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, fishing, and creating memories with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Alex Edwards

Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C)

Alex Edwards was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Alex has six years of nursing experience, with specialties in labor and delivery and outpatient surgery. She is married with two children and is a follower of Christ, serving Him in all she does. Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing the violin and piano as part of Hattiesburg's local music scene. She's also passionate about health and wellness, baking, cross stitching, reading, and traveling with her family.

Shuntay McCormick

Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C)

Shuntay McCormick is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She began her nursing career in 2003 after graduating from Meridian Community College and went on to earn her BSN in 2012 and MSN in Nursing Education in 2014 from William Carey University. In 2018, she completed her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner degree from South University in Savannah, Georgia.

Shuntay has a broad background in nursing with experience in Medical-Surgical care, Orthopedics, and Hemodialysis. She began her NP career in a rural health clinic before joining Tri-County Pulmonary and Sleep of Laurel in 2023. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is proud to be part of the TCPS team.

Originally from Heidelberg, Mississippi, Shuntay now resides in Petal with her two daughters, Madysen and Brooklynn. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, watching television, and spending time with family and friends.

Walk-ins are welcomed from 7:30-8:30
